Trifolium repens; the white clover is a common species of grasslands, roadsides, home gardens etc. The flowers are generally white but occasionally they may have a reddish color. It is a member of the Pea family (Fabaceae formerly known as Papilionaceae. The Icelandic name of this species is Hvítsmári.
