FLORA OF ICELAND elements: Sedum annuum, Annual Stonecrop, Skriðuhnoðri

Sedum annuum; The Annual Stonecrop is a small succulent plant with yellow flowers. It is more common in coastal regions and the south-east of Iceland. It resembles Sedum acre (Biting Stonecrop) but it is smaller and doesn't form mats like the biting stonecrop. Also all stems form flowers (not so in the perennial mats of the biting stonecrop). The yellow petals are narrower than the biting stonecrop.
It is member of the stonecrop family (Crassulaceae). The Icelandic name of this species is Skriðuhnoðri.
