Luzula arcuata; The Curved Wood-rush is a slender Wood-rush commonly growing in mountain regions and on higher altitudes. The inflorescence consists of a number of long stalked, (rather few) flower clusters, which will curve to the side or even downward during maturity, and a short-stalked central dense cluster of flowers on the main axis. The photo of maturing/fruiting stalks shows this feature. The long slender stalks are characeteristic.
The Curved Wood-rush (Luzula arcuata) is a member of the rush family (Juncaceae). The Icelandic name of this species is Boghæra.
