FLORA OF ICELAND elements: Erigeron borealis, Alpine Fleabane, Jakobsfífïll

Erigeron borealis; The alpine fleabane is a common daisy on grassy heathers and in semi-open areas. It is by far the most common fleabane but it can easily be confused with other rarer fleabanes growing in the mountains and highlands. See notes on the page of the oneflower fleabane.
It is a member of the Asteraceae family (= Compositae ), the daisy family. The Icelandic name of this species is Jakobsfífïll.
