FLORA OF ICELAND elements: Draba incana, Hoary Whitlowgrass, Grávorblóm

Draba incana; Hoary Whitlowgrass is easily recognized. It has a thick-leaved rosette of narrow hairy leaves from which stems a single erect flowering shoot with leaves/bracts. The color of the flowers (petals) are white. It can be found almost everywhere except for the barren highlands.
It is a member of the cabbage (= mustard) family) (Brassicaceae formerly known as Cruciferae). The Icelandic name of this species is Grávorblóm.
